Do you wonder how to be productive when you do not feel motivated at all? During these difficult times when the war is just over and the pandemic is still here, it’s becoming harder and harder to maintain a good productive discipline and get things done. That is why DNA has prepared a few tips that can help you get through your anxiety and loss of productivity.
Get enough sleep
When you feel less productive or unmotivated, sleep is often one of the first things to start with. Getting at least 7 hours of quality sleep will help you become much more focused.
Get moving
Whenever unmotivated, getting moving and exercising is often the very last thing we feel like doing. But if you can just convince yourself to get started, it will become easier. Sometimes just getting outside and going for a walk is enough to give your brain a little refresh and bring back the motivation. If it’s cold or rainy, a quick indoor workout will help too. Afterwards, you’ll feel refreshed and your thoughts will become much clearer.
Start with the most difficult task
If you have ever made a “to do” list, then you’ll know what this is about. When you cross the most difficult task off your “to-do” list, it gives you the momentum to continue being productive and also prevents you from spending the entire day dreading it. Completing the toughest task will help you feel a sense of accomplishment and will give you the momentum to complete the rest of the things on your to-do list.
Put your phone away
Sad, but true: sometimes we are not motivated to do any of the important tasks we have, because it’s easier to stare at our phone and get lost in the social media scroll.
The Internet and the social media are not bad, but it can be very distracting when it comes to being productive. Take a few hours in a day to detox from virtual reality and you’ll see that it can work wonders for clearing up your mindset and helping your motivation to come back.
Give yourself a reward
Sometimes we forget how hard certain things are for us to get done. So this is why you should always reward yourself for being productive and working hard. It can be organizing a movie night for just yourself, buying yourself yummy snacks, or something you wanted for a long time: anything to keep yourself happy and excited!
